In today's times, charcuterie is various scrumptious meats and gourmet cheeses oftentimes displayed on a wooden board with various fresh fruits, vegetables, jams, honey, crackers, and usually something sweet as well.
Typical cheeses found on a charcuterie board may be various types of cheddar, gouda, gruyere, hard cheeses such as asiago & parmesan, manchego, soft cheeses such as brie and goat, blue, mozzarella, havarti, cream cheese, and pepper jack.
Various meats may be featured on charcuterie boards. Meats such as prosciutto, salami, sopressata, genoa, and pepperoni are often included.
I ask that you allow a minimum of (2) business days for all charcuterie board orders. This allows me time to source the ingredients for your board to make sure I am giving you the very best high quality & fresh ingredients that are expected when purchasing a board from me. In the event that you have a rush order, then please contact me BEFORE placing your order to see if I'm able to accommodate your specific timeframe request.
The charcuterie board should be refrigerated until approximately 30 minutes before you intend to serve it. Once you are ready to serve the board, it should only sit out for a maximum of 2 hours - this is for the health and safety of your guests. Additionally, if it is a considerably hot day, it is recommended to limit the serving time to roughly 90 minutes or less. The meat(s) and cheese(s) are items that are generally refrigerated and are not meant to be enjoyed for extended periods of time at room temperature.
